Western Carolina University is known for its location surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. On Sunday, August 28, several students explored the area by raft as they went down the Nantahala River with Western’s Base Camp Cullowhee outdoors program.

Fifteen Western Carolina University international students went whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, located in Bryson City, 45 minutes northwest of Cullowhee.
