Classes suspended in wake of winter weather

From Provost Alison Morrison-Shetlar

WCU’s face-to-face classes in Cullowhee and Biltmore Park-Asheville have been suspended for Monday, Jan. 9 because of lingering icy road conditions resulting from the recent round of winter weather. As this is the first day of the semester, students should contact their faculty to receive information and instructions through Blackboard and/or email.

Online classes are not affected by weather-related changes to the regular class schedule.

Students, staff and faculty are urged to examine their personal circumstances and use their own discretion in determining if they can safely travel to campus.

University offices will be open on a normal schedule and will be operating under reduced operations.

Any updated information regarding winter weather will be posted on WCU’s website.
