Danny Bermudez was able to return home to Georgia this past weekend as the Catamounts went up against Georgia Tech.

The Cumming, Georgia native is an entrepreneurship major with the hopes of starting his own company after college.

Bermudez had five total hits against Georgia Tech one being his fourth home run of the season.

“My favorite moment would have to be winning a regular season championship my sophomore year,” said Bermudez.

Brendan Nail is the second player of the week. He was first to take the mound at Friday’s game going seven innings and only allowing two runs.

The Greensboro, NC native has had nine starts, six of which were in his freshman year.

“The greatest moment of my career so far would be in Georgia getting to pitch seven and only allowing the two runs. Ending my day on a strikeout was something I’ll always find exciting,” said Nail.

Nail also says he is really hoping have the team reach a regional game.

The Georgia Tech weekend series was a loss overall, but with the players moving up in their own personal best, Western Carolina should see the team excelling in the coming games.
