The games critical moment came on a steal by Catamount forward Justin Browning with only 25 seconds remaining and the Catamounts leading Wofford 50 to 48. Catamount guard, Mike Brown added three free throws to cap off the 53 to 48 win.

“He’s done that his whole career, I mean he’s just so active, he’s got long arms and active hands,” said Coach Larry Hunter on Brownings defense.

The steal capped off a tough, defensive ballgame for both teams.

“You just got to keep grinding, and try to make some plays, and put yourselves in position to have a chance to win, “ said Hunter on his team’s effort.

The Catamounts were led in scoring by guards Mike Brown and Rhett Harrelson who each scored 12 points. The Catamounts have now won 6 of their last 7 games.

“We had to peak at the right time, we got it going and we can’t stop,” said Catamount guard, Mike Brown.

The Catamounts now prepare for a home matchup against Furman, Saturday, Feb. 27, in the Ramsey Center. Tip off is at 2 p.m.
