The Western Carolina University Men’s basketball team barely out scored the Samford University Bulldogs on Feb. 13 in the Ramsey Regional Activity Center at 4:30 p.m.

The Cats beat Bulldogs 76-71  with starting senior guard, Rhett Harrelson leading the way. Harrelson scored 19 points in the game.

“It’s always easier too when that first one goes in. When you see that first one go down, you’ve got more confidence in the next one,” said Harrelson when asked about his performance in the game.

Starting senior guard, Mike Brown had an outstanding game as well.

“Mike Brown was big late in the ball game,” explained head coach, Larry Hunter. “I didn’t realize it, but when I looked at the stat sheet at the end of the game, he had a quiet double double [double digits in points and rebounds].”

Western will be on the road for the next three games. They will travel to East Tennessee State University on Monday, Feb. 15.
