Cotton candy, popcorn, foot-long hot dogs, corn dogs, plus many more await guests during the carnival-themed dinner Oct.7 at the WCU Courtyard Dining Hall.

This event is open to the public and will cost around $10 which you can pay with your cat card. In addition to the food, there will be games, a magician, balloon animals, and more!

The event is held to maintain the dining experience as upbeat and exciting, said representative from Aramark.

“To keep the dining experience from becoming monotonous we host smaller and larger scale events throughout the semester,” Kristin Spears, Marketing Coordinator for Aramark at WCU, said.

The Dining Hall had their first ‘fancy’ dinner event with a prime rib and shrimp night on Sept.15 where customers munched on prime rib, shrimp, chicken and many side items. There were several delicious cakes to choose from, including carrot, chocolate-layered, and red velvet with buttercream frosting. The cakes were ordered from Sysco, the supplier for Aramark. This was in addition to the brownies and cookies that the Courtyard Dining Hall usually offers. Students enjoyed these higher-end food selections.

“The food was great, it was well cooked, and I would be glad for them continue these themed events,” said, WCU student Caleb Lea.
