The 9th annual Study Abroad Fair will be in the UC Grand Room on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with about 30 tables of information from various organizations on how to study abroad.

The tables are hosted by representatives from universities and institutions from 12 countries and some third party organizers who offer study abroad trips.  There will also be information about how you can pay for studying abroad. You can also see that some WCU faculty offer single courses instead of entire semesters abroad.

The fair is aimed at those considering studying abroad, those who already know where they want to go and even “just people coming with a friend who’s interested,” said Josie Bewsey, study abroad coordinator from the Office of International Programs and Services.

Bewsey added that all of the international students at Western from France, China, England and other countries are invited to represent their country and school. Western students who have recently studied abroad will be there to help host the country table of where they studied.

If you are not able to get to the fair and get all the information you want to start planing for your study abroad experience visit the Office of International Programs and Services. They are located at Camp Building and hosts information sessions every Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Thursday at 11 a.m.
