WCU Communication department at the Olympics

The XXII Winter Olympic games in Sochi, Russia, are even more interesting when we have four WCU representatives there to share their moments with us on social media and in traditional media.
Asheville Citizen-Times published a story on them Feb. 15.

“ASHEVILLE — Western North Carolina does not have any athletes competing in the Winter Olympics.
There are, however, four people with ties to Western Carolina University playing roles behind the scenes for the daily telecasts provided by NBC.
Gabe Nucci, a former WCU communications professor who lives in Asheville, is working his sixth Olympics in technical support as a freelance hire. He has been part of three Olympics crews that have won Sports Emmys for production.”
